• A new kalvikarai.com. Find an overview of every feature, a step-by-step help centre, and these release notes. Follow them by RSS. The app itself now lives at kalvikarai.com/app.

Improved

• Choose a mock test by year, then paper. The Mock test page now lists years first. Pick a year to see its papers, then choose how you’ll answer.

New

• Download a blank OMR sheet (PDF) to print before a paper-mode mock test.
• Questions per page. Show all questions, or 10 or 5 at a time.
• Bookmarks by subject. Filter saved questions by subject, and use Show answer / Hide answer to test yourself.

Improved

• Mock test redesign. A new sticky header with the timer, a palette panel beside the paper on large screens, and updated checking and result screens.
• Question palette in practice now sits beside the question on a computer.
• Redesigned practice review screen and checkout.

Fixed

• Google sign-in now works reliably inside the log-in dialog.
• www.kalvikarai.com now redirects to kalvikarai.com.

• Plans. Free, Practice Plan and PRO. Paid plans are one-month prepaid passes that never renew by themselves. Plans and payments
• Upgrade with credit. Moving from Practice to PRO starts immediately, and the unused value of your Practice plan is credited.
• Plan & Usage. See how much practice, mock tests and OMR checking you’ve used, and when each allowance resets.
• Plan chip in the top bar shows your plan and remaining free questions at a glance.
• Try before you sign up. Guests get a free practice session, then an optional prompt to save their progress.

• Log in and sign up in a dialog over the page you’re on, so you’re never sent somewhere else.
• Faster loading. The app’s first download is now about half the size.

• The Google sign-in button no longer collapses on narrow screens.
• Text no longer flickers while fonts load.

• Image-based questions. Questions and answer choices can include diagrams, maps and tables, in both practice and mock tests. Tap an image to see it full size.

• Upload your OMR sheet. After a paper-mode mock test, upload a photo or PDF of your shaded sheet. Your answers come back pre-filled for you to confirm before scoring. How to check your OMR sheet

Improved

• Leaving a mock test now asks first. Your answers are saved and the attempt stays open, so you can continue later.
• Time’s up screen. When the timer ends, online answers are submitted automatically and paper-mode tests move straight to checking.
• One mock test at a time. If a test is still open, including a paper test you haven’t checked yet, you’re taken back to it instead of starting a new one.
• Clearer copy when you finish a paper-mode test.

• Questions available in only one language no longer show an empty column when you’ve chosen both languages.

• Practice by subject or past paper. Browse subjects, filter by year, and choose 10, 20 or 50 questions in random order or by year.
• Instant feedback. See Correct! or Worth a review after every answer, with an explanation.
• Every TNPSC question format: multiple choice, statement-based, match the following, and arrange in order.
• English, Tamil or both. Set the question language and the app language separately.
• Results and review. See your score at the end of a session, practise just the questions you missed, and review every answer.
• History. Resume an unfinished session or review a completed one.
• Bookmarks. Save questions to revise later.
• Report a question if an answer, translation or wording looks wrong.
• Stats. Questions per day, accuracy by subject and your weakest subject.
