Delete your account

Last updated

This page explains how to ask Kalvikarai to delete your account and the personal data linked to it. It applies to the Kalvikarai app and website.

Option 1: delete it yourself

  1. Sign in to the Kalvikarai app or website.
  2. Open Profile and tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm with your password and tap Delete.

You’re signed out on every device straight away. Steps with screenshots are in Profile and account.

Option 2: ask us to delete it

Use this if you can’t sign in, have uninstalled the app or forgot your password.

  1. Email support@kalvikarai.com with the subject Delete my account.
  2. Send it from the email address on your account, so we can confirm it’s you. If you signed up with Google, use that Google email address.

We acknowledge your request within 48 hours and start the deletion once we have confirmed it’s you.

What happens next

  • For 30 days, your account is closed but not erased. If you change your mind, sign in again within those 30 days and your account is restored as it was.
  • After 30 days, we permanently erase your personal data. This can’t be undone.

What we delete

  • Your name, email address and sign-in details
  • Your practice history, bookmarks and stats
  • Your mock test attempts and results
  • Any OMR sheet photos or PDFs we still hold
  • Your device sessions

Copies in our backups are deleted automatically as the backups expire.

What we keep

  • Payment records, for at least 8 years, because Indian tax and accounting law requires it. They are kept even after your account is deleted, and are used only for that purpose.
  • A paid plan is not refunded when you delete your account. See our refund policy.

For more on how we handle your data, read our privacy policy.
