Getting started with Kalvikarai

Kalvikarai helps you prepare for TNPSC Group 1, 2 and 4 with real past-paper questions from 2012 to 2025, in English and Tamil, with an explanation for every answer.

Open the app

1. Go to kalvikarai.com and tap Open app (top right), or go straight to kalvikarai.com/app/practice.
2. The app opens on Practice. You can start a session straight away. You don’t need an account to try it.

The app works in any modern browser on your phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install.

Find your way around

On a computer the main sections are in the bar at the top. On a phone they are in the tab bar at the bottom.

Section	What it’s for
Practice	Practise questions by subject or by past paper.
Mock test	Sit a full past paper with a timer, just like the real exam.
History	Your practice sessions, in progress and completed.
Bookmarks	Questions you saved to come back to.
Stats	How much you’ve practised and how you’re doing by subject.
Profile	Your account, language settings and plan.
More (phone only)	Plans, Saved (your bookmarks) and Stats.

On a phone, the tab bar shows Practice, Mock test, History, Profile and More. Bookmarks (listed as Saved), Stats and Plans are under More.
